For generations, we've made a promise to Kansas kids. It's a promise that children growing up in the Sunflower State will have the tools they need to reach for the stars and reach their fullest potential.

But, as our state falls on economic hard times, that promise continues to be at risk. Even during the Great Depression, Kansas lawmakers found the resources and the political will to make sure our next generation would be equipped to lead our state in better economic times. And, because of their forethought, Kansas emerged from that economic crisis with a generation that was ready to work, able to contribute as taxpayers, and equipped to lead our local communities to prosperity.

That's why we're asking you to get involved. Every year, Kansas lawmakers are faced with difficult budget decisions - some of which would jeopardize the state's most successful early childhood programs.
